1st Novemeber 2007 Unfortunately due to missed appointments as form 1st NOVEMBER 2007 Axis will be taking a 20% deposit for any appointments over 45mins long. In line with company policy we ask our clients to cancel appointments at least 24 hours before due. We would appreciate as much notice as possible thus making your missed appointment open for other clients.

This Years Charity Event Four of the Axis Studio team are planning on doing a 10,000 ft free full parachute jump held at Cambridge. We are hoping to raise £2,000 for air ambalance.

Training Days Sherri is still ecstatic on the course she went on. Cherie and Becca are now preparing for a competition in January and putting together there mood boards to inspire the creative flare.

Congratulations! We would like to congratulate Becca in qualifying and soon to start her level 3.

Training Days 4th June 2007, Becca is going on a two day cutting course 12th June 2007, Kathy and Sherri will attending a course at the London Wella Studios best of British cutting course. They will be witnessing the very best of hairdressers demonstrating their skills. They will be working side by side in a practical workshop helping them push their creativity in hair to the cutting edge. 25th June 2007, The whole team at Axis are to spend the evening in the company of Vidal Sassoon and inspirational burst of creativity that shows the very latest looks and ideas. 17th September 2007, Kathy and Amanda will have full hands on experience working along side hairdressing heroes witnessing amazing demonstrations followed by a practical workshop where they will be inspired with news skills which they can bring back to the salon.

Ruby Jean has arrived!!! Congratulations are in order to Kathy, who, at 10pm on Monday 28th August gave birth to the beautiful Ruby Jean at St Peters. Ruby Jean weighed 6lb 14.5 oz and both mother and baby are doing well. Many congratulations Kathy!! We will keep you informed on when Kathy looks to return to work.

Kathy has now left for her maternity leave We wish you the best of luck and will keep you all updated on her 'bump' and when she will be returning to work

Mid Essex Business Awards 2006 Axis Studio are pleased to announce that they are through to the finals of the Community- Private sector for the Mid Essex Business Awards 2006! The awards are held on the 22 nd September so keep your fingers crossed for us!!!

March 2006 Studio News Axis are happy to inform you that we are now offering our customers a loyalty card. This is available to new and existing customers, and allows customers to collect points. These points are redeemable at the salon and include free treatments and money off rewards. Axis Studio is now offering longer appointment times to ensure the customer never feels rushed. We also hope this will help clients feel 100% relaxed and comfortable throughout the duration of their visit.

March 2006 Training All members of the Axis Studio team attended a J & E seminar on alternative hair cuts. The event took place on Monday the 6th of March at Stockbrook Manor Golf and Country Club, and a fabulous time was had by all! There were many differing and unique haircuts on show inspiring all our staff, stylists and assistants alike. Holidays Our stylist Emma is currently on holiday in Egypt, and will be returning to work on Monday the 20th of March. Sherri is taking a holiday for a week on the 27th of March. She will be back to work on the 3rd of April. Our Senior Hair Consultant and Manageress Amanda will be away for a weeks holiday on the 17th of April. She will be returning to the salon on Tuesday the 25th of April. And on a more personal note, congratulations are in order for Kath who is pregnant, and expecting to give birth in August.

March 2006 - Chelmsford Town Centre Business Awards 2005 Congratulations to all the staff at Axis who helped the Salon to win the Best Small Independent Business Award. The award was presented at the Town Centre Awards ceremony in Shire Hall at the beginning of February. The salon also came highly commended for customer service.

February 2006 Axis Studio's next colour sale will be from Monday the 17th of April - Sunday the 30th of April. We would like to welcome our new stylist Emma, who has joined us from Secrets/Top Knots. We welcome all clients old and new.

January 2006 We are delighted to welcome Emma into the Axis Studio team. Emma is a senior stylist with an extensive range of experience in hairdressing. She is available Monday 9am – 7pm, Wednesday 9am – pm, Thursday 9am -7pm and Saturday 8.30am – 4.30pm. Welcome to Axis!!

December, 2005 Congratulations are in order for Tasha who recently qualified. Tasha is now available for appointments as a graduate stylist Tuesday’s 9-9pm, Wednesday’s 9-7pm, Friday’s 9-7pm and Sunday’s 10-4pm. Well done Tasha!! It’s also a double celebration as, due to increasing demand, Sherri has received a promotion. Her hours are still the same and you will now find her under Art Designer instead of Graduate Stylist. Keep up the good work!!

Saturday 12th November Axis Studio's Farleigh Hospice fundraiser We presented the cheque on Saturday 12th November to Farleigh Hospice. THANK YOU so much for your donations. You helped us to raise....... £3878.15 for Farleigh Hospice!! Sunday 9th October Sunday Opening Axis Studio is now pleased to announce that we are open Sundays!!! Our first Sunday went really well and are getting busier by the week!! Kathy is available for appointments between 10am and 4pm on Sundays: Book your appointment today!!! October, 2005 As from the 9th Sunday opening will be underway with Kathy available for appointments between 10am – 4pm. Kathy will still be available Saturday mornings also to cater for those of you that prefer Saturday appointments. Amanda will be off for a week as from the 10th, we hope she enjoys herself! Plans for the Farleigh Hospice Charity fundraiser are going well. Watch this space for more details of the fundraiser and the prizes available for the participants.

Friday 23rd September 2005 Mid Essex Business Awards Recently the Axis Studio team were runners up in the growing business section of the Mid Essex Business Awards. It was a fantastic night, as you can see everyone had a good time!!

Friday 5th August, 2005 Recently some of the Axis Studio team were bridesmaids! Wendy Cohen, who has been a valued client of Kathy’s for nineteen years (before some of our team were born!) married her partner, Dave. Kathy and some of the girls were witnesses for this event at Chelmsford’s registry office and afterwards a champagne reception was held within the salon. October 22nd, 2005 Annual Charity Event This year we are raising money for Farleigh Hospice. Anglia American Limousines is kindly allowing us to use their enormous excursion limousine for our latest charity event. We are filling it with balloons for people to guess 'how many balloons are in the limousine'. It is going to cost £1 a guess and we are hoping to raise £5,000 during the whole week. We are starting at Sainsburys in Springfield on 22nd Oct and ending at Asda Chelmer Village on 28th Oct. There are a number of prizes. Some have generously been donated by other local businesses in the West End of Chemlsford.

July 31st, 2005 Go Ape With no time to monkey around like the present, the Axis team completed a high level assault course at GO APE in Thetford. This was a great team building experience where all the girls not only found themselves facing some of their fears, but encouraging others to do the same. Everyone not only suprised themselves at their achievements, but also thoroughly enjoyed themselves. All in all it was a great day out! The whole team returned motivated and more than prepared to put themselves through it again! To see the photos of the experience click here

July 31st, 2005 Ten of us are going on a team building day to Go Ape. Go Ape! and swing from tree to tree high above the forest floor for over two hours of adrenalin-fuelled fun, laughter and adventure.

July 25th, 2005 As some of you may be aware, Sherri our graduate stylist is nearing a big birthday. She is taking a week off commencing Monday 25th July, returning on Monday 1st August. Other stylists are available if you do need your hair done during that week .

June 20th, 2005 We like to send our staff on a variety of hair courses and two assistants have recently embarked on a long hair course. They completed this in one day, returning filled with enthusiasm and a more positive attitude to dressing long hair. Many congratulations are in order to Amanda Lucia, our manageress and senior hair consultant who has just completed her hairdressing NVQ level 3. This is an advanced hairdressing qualification and her hard work seems to have paid off. Well done!! Kathy is currently in the process of organising a charity event with the proceeds going to Farleigh Hospice. Kathy likes to do these events at least annually. Farleigh Hospice seems the most deserving charity to focus on this year, being a local charity and one that is important to some of our staff and clients on a more personal level.

June 15th, 2005 Two of our assistants have just completed a gents cutting day. They both received certificates as a result of this. Both were impressed with the training they were given and we are eagerly awaiting a demonstration of the new skills they have learnt.
