2009 - An Award Winning Year!
A Chelmsford hair studio is
celebrating success as its Artistic Consultant is chosen
as a Regional Finalist of a national hairdressing
competition.
24 year old Sherri Keeling,
Artistic Consultant at Axis Studio in Wells Street, has
been chosen from 800 entries in the 2009 Wella Trend
Vision competition. Her hair design, in the Utopia
category, was developed and created by Sherri to
represent a fresh, flawless and futuristic image.
At the Regional Final in London
Sherri presented her storyboard showing how she
developed the style along with her model, Axis Studio
colleague Mercedes. Her work was assessed by leading UK stylists.
Sherri said: “I’m thrilled to
be through to the regional final. It’s every
stylist’s dream to be able to be able to show their
creativity and have it recognised by experts.”
Axis Studio Director Kathy Blagden
said: “Success in a competition like this really takes
the studio to another level. We’re already
award-winners when it comes to customer service and we
work hard to make sure our clients enjoy the best
possible experience. Having our stylists’ work in
competitions keeps us dynamic, creative and motivated
– just what we want to be!”
Axis Studio’s hall of fame
includes being named in the Top Ten salons for customer
service by hair product manufacturers, Redken. The
studio also had a stylist in last year’s Wella Trend
Vision competition who reached the national final stage.
Graduate Stylists Becca Potts and Zoe Johnson are
also preparing for the finals of their college
competition organised by J & E Training.
